J. Norris Benham, Jr., age 80, of the Hardesty Community of Washington County, KY passed away at 12:37 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2022 at the Spring View Hospital in Lebanon.
A native of Washington County, he was born on May 27, 1942 to the late J. Norris, Sr. and Ida B. Pinkston Benham.
He was of the Baptist faith and a retired farmer.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Tammy Curtsinger.
Survivors include his wife, Dulah Burkhead Benham; a daughter, Charlotte Jerome (Mark); two grandchildren, Katie Jerome and Andrew Jerome all of Springfield; a sister, Rita Mitchell of Mt. Washington; a brother, Billy Joe Benham (Carol) of Bloomfield as well as a host of other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 31st at the Carey & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Willingham, officiating.
Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery at Willisburg.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Katie Jerome and Andrew Jerome.
Serving as pallbearers will be Martin Humes, Stephen Auberry, Jared Nally, Tim Benham and Hank Gregory.
Visitation will be from 5 until 8 Monday and after 8:00 Tuesday morning until time of the service at the Carey & Son Funeral Home.
