Sherry Tilton Fruge, 70, of Baytown, TX, passed away August 14, 2021. She was born in Dayton, TX on December 21, 1950 to Chris and Mary Lou Tilton.
She was married to Louis Fruge for 16 years. Sherry had a career in childcare/nursing for Old River Baptist Church, Kindercare, and various in home child care facilities.
She had a passion for the Houston Rockets, dolphins and her grandchildren. Sherry loved her Houston Rockets, she made sure not to miss any games, and would keep score in her notebooks for every game. She had an affinity for dolphins and would collect anything form figurines to picture frames dolphin related. She absolutely adored her grandchildren, with many pictures on display. She also had a knack of remembering everyone's birthday, or anniversary, and was interested in her family's geneology and ancestry.
Sherry was preceded in death by her father, Christophal Boyd Tilton; mother, Mary Lou Gilley Tilton; brothers, James Tilton and Robert Tilton; and her ex-husband, Louis Fruge.
She is survived by her brother, Chris Tilton and his wife Sandra Tilton; sisters, Judy Poutra, Gayla Pomykal and her husband Mike Pomykal; sons, Addison Fruge and Bryan Fruge; granddaughters, Madilynn Fruge, Kailey Fruge, and Abigail Fruge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, August 19, 2021 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521. Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Navarre Funeral Home, with interment to follow at 12:30 pm in Magnolia Park Cemetery, Dayton, TX.
