Graduating from Valparaiso High School, she furthered her education by graduating with a BS degree from Ball State University, a MS degree from Purdue University and received her certification in Learning Disabilities from Indiana University. She taught in the Valparaiso Community School, Michigan City School and the Porter County Special Education Co-Op where she started the learning disabilities program at Portage High School.
Becky was a charter member of Alpha Psi chapter of Alpha Delta Kappa and Zeta Omicron chapter of Tri-Kappa where she served as president and numerous other offices in both sororities.
Immanuel Lutheran Church was her life-long congregation, although she was also a member of Heritage and Christ Lutheran churches where she served in various capacities. Growing in her relationship with God was an important part of her life.
Becky's desire for knowledge was fueled by her life-long passion for reading. She fostered her creativity by being an accomplished pianist, carmaker/scrapbooker, painter, calligrapher, writer and enjoyed connecting with people having similar interests.
Rebecca's beloved husband, Jack, died in March 1999.
She was predeceased by her parents, Thomas "Steve" McEnterfer and Dolores "Dee" McEnterfer.
A visitation will be held Thursday from 10 am – 12 noon at Moeller Funeral Home, Valparaiso with funeral service beginning at 12:00 noon and burial to follow at Angelcrest Cemetery.
