Charles Kirk Graves (73) of Gainesville, VA went to be with his Lord on May 22, 2023, after a short battle with cancer.

Chuck was born on March 15, 1950, to Robert Herbert Graves and Virginia Rensch Graves in Washington, DC.

Chuck was preceded in death by his father and mother and his Aunt Shirley (Mike) Secrest who he lovingly cared for during the last months of her life.

He married Marlene Louise Schiller on April 4, 1970.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife; three children, Kimberly Leigh (Roy) of White Plains, MD, John-Charles Preston (Julie) of Burke, VA, and Sarah Elizabeth Rae of Gainesville, VA; three grandchildren, William Robert, Silas Preston, and Annika Louise.; his brother, Robert Graves (Nina), his sister Cande Jarboe (Jack) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Chuck will be at 11:30 am on Tuesday, May 30th followed by his funeral service at 12:30 pm at Manassas Baptist Church, 8730 Sudley Road, Manassas, VA 20110. Burial will immediately follow at Stonewall Memory Gardens. A reception will take place at Manassas Baptist Church following the burial. Expressions of sympathy can take the form of donations to Manassas Baptist Church for their missions, services, and pastoral ministries.
