"Mrs. Ella Louise (Meche), 21, the former Miss Ella Louise Reyer of Gulfport, now of Houma, La., died this morning at 7 o'clock at Touro Infirmary in New Orleans following heart surgery Friday. She was born in Bay Saint Louis on Oct. 4, 1937, the daughter of Dalvalery(sic) Reyer and the late Mrs. Myrtle Reyer of 1404 43rd Ave., Gulfport. She is survived by her husband, Sidney Meche, and one daughter, Brenda Sue; four brothers, Ross Reyer, Gulfport; Luther Reyer, Pass Christian; Pvt Elvin Reyer, Germany; and Raymond Reyer, Jackson; one sister, Mrs. Yvonne Rettig, Gulfport. The body will be at Riemann's Funeral Home. Funeral arrangements are incomplete."

"The funeral service for Mrs. Ella Louis Meche, 21, wife of Sidney Meche, was held Tuesday afternoon from Riemann's Chapel in Gulfport. Mrs. Meche died Monday in New Orleans following heart surgery. The Rev. P. S. Dodge, pastor of Providence Baptist Church, officiated. Mrs. Martha Lott sang 'Sunrise', accompanied by Mrs. J. L. Head, organist. Interment was in Handsboro Cemetery with Everett Busby, Anatole Meche, Mike Smandra, Buddy Parker and William McCullough as pallbearers."
