Mrs. Rachel Paulina Ashley died, Tuesday, October 1, 1912 at sunset, at the home of her son, Thomas, four miles northeast of Boonville, aged 79 years and 28 days. Her husband preceded her in death last February. Mrs. Ashley joined the General Baptist church in early life and was a member of the Heilman church at her death. She leaves six children: L.L., Mrs. Charles Ferguson, Thomas, Alvis, Gaines and Mrs. G.B. Bruce; a large number of grand children, one brother, Alvis Fisher, and one sister, Mrs. Frances Posey. She was buried at Ebenezer church Thursday morning, October 3d. Revs. Ed Barrett and Silas Forston officiating.
