Yvonne Tereda Volberding was born in Oakland, California on June 8, 1951 to her parents, Johnnie & Pearl Prosser.
She confessed Christ at an early age uniting with Faith Presbyterian Church where she was baptized by Reverend Jackson.
Yvonne attended schools in Oakland California and received her secondary education at Oakland High School.
She later met and married James Volberding in Oakland California on March 6, 1975. From this union was born four sons, Stephen, Jamie, Jeremy and Daniel, and three daughters, Tangee, Angelique & Crystal.
She departed this life on September 17, 2001 and was preceded in death by: her brother, John Luster Prosser , sisters, Gloria Lavene Mull and Renetta Giddens and nephews, Donald Ray Mull & Ronald Giddens II.
She leaves to mourn her passing: her husband, James Volberding; Childen; Stephen, Tangee, Angelique, Jamie, Crystal, Jeremy and Daniel; her parents, Johnnie and Pearl Prosser; sisters, Shirley Young, Carolyn Ramirez, Gwendolyn Buttram, Donna Prosser, Tijuana Harrison, Ava Prosser and Avis Prosser; one brother, Marshall Prosser; mother-in-law, Jean Volberding; Son-in-law, Reginald McCarter and Patrick Pratt, Sr.; daughter-in-law, Rasha Thomas Rosby; grandchilden, Patrick and Kameron Pratt and Stephanie Rosby; and a host of other relatives and friends.
