Albert Baltazar Barreras of Yukon, Oklahoma passed away peacefully on May 17, 2023 after a brave seven-month battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family.
Albert was born on January 6, 1965, in Blythe, California to Dolores Serrato and Jacinto Limon. He grew up alongside 9 brothers and 1 sister. In 1992, he met the love of his life, Amy and together they had two children, Daniel and Vic Tyler. In 2001, they made the big move to Yukon, Oklahoma and have lived there ever since. He worked for Mathena Energy in El Reno for almost 20 years and spent his time rooting for the Denver Broncos, birding, keeping an immaculate house, and making everyone around him laugh. More than anything else, Albert loved his family. Every single one of them (and there's a lot)! Everyone who knew Albert knew how special his light was. He never met a stranger; everyone was an instant friend. Albert loved Amy to the moon and back and was a proud father and a new grandfather. Being a grandfather to Jessie Rae was his greatest joy and she is why he fought so hard to stay here. Albert will be dearly missed and always remembered by all who loved him.
Albert was preceded in death by his father, Jacinto Limon and brothers, Ralph and Michael Villasenor.
He is survived by his wife, Amy; his sons Daniel and Vic Tyler; his granddaughter Jessie Rae; his mother, Dolores Serrato; his siblings, Joe Serrato, Maria Serrato, Richard Serrato, Carlos Villasenor, Jacinto Limon Jr., Johnny De La Cruz, and Robert Figueroa and an abundance of family and friends in both Blythe and Yukon.
