David Alfred Adams, 72, of Gadsden, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017. Private interment services will be held with Rev. Robbie Hendrick to officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services in charge of arrangements.
David was a graduate of Gadsden High School and attended Auburn University, where he as a member of Sigma Pi fraternity. He was the owner of 411 Feed and Seed for over 35 years, where its patrons were his dearest friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, C.M. Adams Jr., and Mary Edith Joyner Adams; and his brother, Neil M. Adams.
Survivors include his wife, Susanna Majure Adams; son, Michael (Angela) Adams; daughter, Marianna (Drew) Laughlin; three grandchildren, Hannah Adams, Evan and Sarah Grace Laughlin; two step-grandchildren, Luke and Nate Agan; and brother, Maitland (Sadie) Adams; and sister-in-law, Ola Vay Majure; all of Gadsden.
The family requests no flowers, and asks that donations be made in Mr. Adams name to the Southern Diabetes Education Services (SDES), 500 Chase Park S., Suite 104, Birmingham, AL 35244.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday from 6 until 8 p.m.
