Newspaper Obituary;May 15, 1933, FIRST ILLNESS PROVES FATAL TO JOHN WEISS. Head of Furniture Firm is sticken in Office.
John Weiss 48, Milwaukee commercial furniture manufacturer for 27 years died suddenly from a heart attack yesterday at 5:45 p.m. in his office at the John Weiss Manufacturing company, of which he was president and founder. Mr. Weiss was reported as being in excellent helth up to the time of his seizure and had just returned apparently well from a trip to Chicago. He had never been seriously ill a day in his life, according to his nephew, Hilton Weiss, manager of the firm, who was with him at the time of his death. The manufacturer was a native of Hungary and came to Milwaukee in 1903. While in Hungary, he learned the cabinet making trade as a boy and followed his vocation here. In 1906 he established the firm he has since, and soon became a manufacturer with a national distribution of store and office furniture and equipment. He was a member of the National Commercial Fixtures Manufacturers' association. He was married 25 years to Miss Julia Steiner** of Milwaukee, who survives him. Two children Martin and Lillian, both associated with the firm; five brothers, Ignatz, Joseph, Hermand, David and Isadore and two sisters, Mrs. S.H.Smith and Mrs. H.A.Honig, also survived him. Mr. Weiss resided at 5603 W. Washington Blvd. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral chapel of Harry B.Goodman, burial in Ever Rest Cemetery.

**It was first thought that his wife Julia Steiner was buried next to him. I found out a few months ago she died in CA and is buried in Wisconsin Memeral Park, Waukesha Co.
I will be updating her memory page with the new information soon.
