Jonathan Lowe Nobles (1860-1955), 95, of Green Cove Springs, died Monday afternoon at his residence following a brief illness.

He was a native of Hawkinsville, Ga., and had resided in Green Cove Springs for the past five years. A Baptist, he was a retired mail carrier.

He is survived by two sons, Haden R. Nobles, Peniel, and Jonathan Other Nobles, Green Cove Springs; five grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 3 o’clock at the Shiloh Baptist Church with Rev. Alfred Sapp officiating. Interment was in the Shiloh Cemetery with Ralph Tucker Funeral Home of Green Cove Springs in charge of arrangements.

Active pallbearers were A. J. Adkins, Clyde Williams, Wayne Geiger, J. A. Warner, Henry Blevins and Flemon Tomlinson; honorary, Hubert Pacette, Roy Knowles, Frank Williams, E. D.
