Mr. Reed was born in Feb. 1870 in South Dakota when it was a territory, son of Thomas J. Reed and Electra (Robertson) Reed.
Mrs. Erma G. Taylor of the Community Church conducted the service at Mortimore Chapel. Mrs. Fred Howard sang, with Mr. Max Mortimore at the piano.
Pallbearers were Art Frakes, John Holder, Jack Wallingford, Fred Ober, Sam Cremer and Clifford Reed.
He went to Alaska during the Gold Rush days and spent 15 years in that country. For 34 years he was a resident of this country.
He married Ellen (Berry) Reed in 1923. He is survived by six brothers, Frank Reed, Louis M. Reed, both of Thermopolis Alva Reed of Sand Point, James M. Reed of Fulton, Nev. Billy Reed, and Dell Reed, both of Calif.
