Eugenia Ann Chaney, 76, of Ellettsville, passed away Friday May 12, 2023 at Hearthstone Health Campus in Bloomington.

Born December 29, 1946 in Linton, the daughter of Herschell V. and Ina E. (Hamilton) Dowden.

Eugenia was a homemaker; she graduated from Bloomfield High School, she was a member of the Maple Grove Church in Bloomington and the Bloomfield American Legion Auxiliary, she liked to read and work in her flowers and garden.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Ronald L. Chaney; one daughter, Natalie (Brian) Connors; one son, Brad (Dena) Chaney; one grandson, Jarod Lenkiewicz and one sister, Marilyn Sue Lee.

Eugenia was preceded in death by her parents.

Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday May 18, 2023 at Scotland Community Church.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at Scotland Community Church with Pastor Rick Amerine and Pastor Nick Spence officiating. Burial will follow at Scotland Cemetery.

The family wishes any memorial donations be made to the Scotland Community Church in Eugenia's name.
