Mrs. Steverson was 66 years old when she passed away at Flowers Hospital in Dothan, Alabama. She died after a brief illness. She was the daughter of the late James Whaley and the late Audrey (Kirkegaard) Whaley. She was a retired school teacher. She is survived by her husband, Willard teverson; 4 daughters, Cynthia McKinnon of Dothan, Ala., Sheryl Steverson of Panama City, Sheila Camp of Anderson, S. C., and Shelly Thornton of Chipley; 3 sons, Brian Steverson of Fayetteville, N. C., Kevin Steverson of Commerce, Ga., Brent Steverson of Bonifay; 2 sisters, Karen Smith of Birmingham, Ala., and Helen Benson of Olympia, Wash., a brother, Michael Whaley of Boniay; 20 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral service was March 16th at First Baptist Church with the Revs. Edwin Bell ad Ike Steverson officiating. Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery in Bonifay with Sims Funeral Home of Bonifay directing.
