Family records and ancestry.com lists his birth as 17 Sept 1876 Labette County, KS which doesn't agree with the marker.
Possibly stone carver transposed the seven and the six when cutting the stone.

William Paul Tullis shows up in the 1870 Census for Hackberry, Labette County, Kansas as the son of Arthur and Rebecca Tullis. The tombstone is correct and so are you.
