Billie Sue "Susie" Aultman Barlow

In the early morning hours of May 10, 2023, Heaven gained another angel. After many years of battling illness, Billie Sue is finally free of her earthly bounds as she passed peacefully in her sleep.
Billie Sue, or "Susie" as many knew and loved her, was born on October 15, 1945, at Methodist Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, to B.J. and Polly Aultman. She grew up in Hattiesburg and attended Hattiesburg High School and Jones County Junior College where she received her degree in Nursing. She was a caring nurse who loved her time working in home health, skilled nursing and her most favorite job, a school nurse working with children who had special needs.
Those fortunate enough to know her, know her pleasures in life came from the simplest of things such as walking in the sand on the beach, eating at Lil Ray's, fishing, doing arts and crafts, bringing all the neighborhood kids to the pool and even letting her kids have a food fight In her kitchen.
She was preceded in death by her parents, B.J. and Polly Aultman.
Susie is survived by her husband, daughter, son, and 5 grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11:30 A.M. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Hulett-Winstead Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in Highland Cemetery
