Georgia Ann Wright
1 Nov 1935 - 5 May 2023
Silverton, Texas

Georgia Wright of Austin, Texas passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023. A Graveside Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 12, 2023 at the Silverton Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of Moore-Rose Funeral Home.

Georgia Ann Brown Wright entered this life on November 1, 1935, the daughter of Zemily and U.D. Brown. The youngest of six sisters (Doris, Lois, Ava, Faye, and Joy), she helped her father and sisters around the family farm and graduated from Silverton High School in 1953. She developed a lifelong love of dogs, books, church service, and an affinity for hard work and its benefits.

In 1954, she married Sam Lusk, and they had two children, Samuel Gary (1956), and David Brown (1957). God's plan wasn't the only theme in this story, however, and the marriage ended in 1963. His plan and its mysteries became clearer with her marriage to Duane Charles Wright in 1964. She lovingly assumed the direction and guidance of Kathleen, Kimberly, and David Charles and her life's passions were then made clear. She was a wonderful wife, mom, homework resource, room mother, typist, friend to many, and an example of good living to all, but not until July of 1969, with Spencer Paul Wright's birth was her family complete. Supporting the dreams of her husband and children included more titles than space allows herein, but each were fulfilled with enthusiasm, creativity, and enjoyment. She and Duane loved their children and raised each to be the best versions of themselves the Lord meant them to be.

Members at Fairview Church of Christ, Georgia and Duane were able to magnify their influences on this planet into the works of God's will on this earth. Great friends, and the support of the church community were some of their greatest worldly treasures. Her fights with cancer ended her participation in this life on May 5, 2023, at the Christopher House in Austin, Texas. The staff there provided a loving environment to grace her transition to her heavenly home. The care of her dog, Sarah, was entrusted to her loving niece, Joni Daniels.

Georgia Ann was going to meet family awaiting her arrival. Her parents and sisters, husband, Duane Charles Wright, son David Brown Lusk, daughters Kimberly and Kathleen had previously left this world to prepare a way for our mother, friend, and spiritual guide. Remaining here, striving to become the souls she hoped we would be are, Samuel Gary Lusk, his wife, Maggie, their children Samuel Garrett and Drey; and Spencer Paul Wright, his wife Amanda, their children Campbell and Owen; David Charles Wright; Matt and Drew Lusk and Twyla Lusk (David Brown Lusk's children and widow) and her daughter, Erica Bradshaw.

Donations and thanks would be welcomed at Fairview Church of Christ, (301 Ramble Lane Austin Texas 78745), or Hospice Austin's Christopher House, (2820 East MLK Jr. Blvd, Austin, Texas 78702).
