Sarah ? was born on July 1, 1802, in England. She married John Harrison. John Harrison was born on July 8, 1785, in England. In the late 1820's, John emigrated to the United States from England. He settled in Manayunk, later a part of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. John was a machinist. In 1850, John and Sarah resided in the upper ward of Manayunk, in Philadelphia. John and Sarah Harrison were associated with, The Philadelphia Bible-Christian Church. This church was founded by Rev. William Metcalfe in 1823, in Philadelphia. Two of the basic doctrines of the Bible-Christian Church were an adherence to a vegetarian lifestyle, and abstinence from drinking alcohol. The Bible-Christian movement originated in the Manchester, England area. Sarah Harrison died on January 31, 1853, in Manayunk. She was interred in the Bible Christian Church Burial Ground. In 1860, John lived with his son, Joseph, in ward 21, in Philadelphia.
