Mrs. Gertrude Earn Atkission, 80, El Cerrito, a former Tularean, died Thursday in a Pleasant Hills convalescent home. She was a native of Franklin County, Ark., and had lived in Tulare 25 years.
She married Jess Andrew Atkission May 25, 1908. They had six children - Alma, Ernest, John, Dessie, Clarence and Margarette.
Funeral services were held in the Hamilton Peers Funeral Service Chapel with the Rev. Clifford Ford of the First United methodist Church officiating.
Burial was in Tulare Cemetery beside her husband, Jess Andrew Atkission, who died in 1963.
