Died of smallpox while a prisoner of war at Fort Delaware, Delaware.

Son of George Newell Ivester and Anna Rucker.

Jacob's family never knew what happened to him, as in handwritten papers of daughter Lovicia stated: 'Went to war, never heard from him again.'
