They pulled their trailer house to Fairview behind an oilfield truck and put it in a trailer park until renting a lot on East Beck St. Phyllis started in-home child care which she continued for many years. Many children in the community were partial raised by Phyllis. Bob quit truck driving and became a TV repairman at Coast-to-Coast store. They purchased a lot on 3rd street and moved their trailer there. Many improvements were made to the home there.
They continued their careers until they both retired in 1996. They traveled with their RV and had many adventures that included trips to the World Fair in Seattle, Alaska, Mississippi River barge RV float, Mexico, Deer camps, and they snowbirded in Arizona and south Texas with family and friends.
