He was born May 5, 1914, in Granby.
Mr. Patterson was a lifelong area resident, and a retired Apostolic Faith minister and carpenter. He was a member of Prosperity Apostolic Faith Church, Prosperity, Mo. He always said he preached 60 years and one Sunday. He loved to tell his stories to anyone who would listen.
Grandad is survived by a daughter, Delpha Speak and husband, Bill, Carthage; two sons, Gaylon Patterson and wife, Marla, Lafayette, Calif., and Billy Patterson and wife, Vicki, Amarillo, Texas; six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
He loved watching his great-grandchildren play basketball, baseball, volleyball and track. He will be missed by his family and the many sports fans that called him "Granddad."
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Marie (Farley) Patterson.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Bykota Church, Carthage, with Billy Patterson and Wayne Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Hazel Green Cemetery, Boulder City.
Friends may call at Clark Funeral Home, Granby, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
