Gandy Victoria, about 80, (b. 3-1-1877) and a resident of the Merriam community for many years, died May 15, 1975 at McCray Hospital. She was a native of Whitley County and the widow of Ora Gandy, who died in 1951. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Russell Lindsey, Kendallville, Mrs. Jesse Winebrenner of Albion, and Mrs. Claude Surfus of LaGrange; one son, Colby of Chicago; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary Esterline of Columbia City, and Mrs. Charles Shively of Churubusco. Services Saturday in Bonham & Miser Funeral Home. Burial, Christian Chapel Cemetery
