Douglas G. Hornbeck, 69, a resident of Rensselaer, IN, passed away on Friday, May 5, 2023. Doug was born in Lafayette, IN, on June 10, 1953, the son of Donald and Wilma (Swartz) Hornbeck.

Doug graduated from Rensselaer Central High School. He married Lisa Anne Brooking on June 7, 1980, in Remington, IN and she survives. Doug was a Machine Specialist and Partner at Jasper Equipment from 2005-2023. He was a member of the VFW Post #1279 and the American Legion Post #29. He loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

Doug is survived by his wife, Lisa Hornbeck; children, Beth (Brad) Dunlap of Rensselaer, IN, Jason (Terra) Hornbeck of Georgia, Nathan (Angela) Hornbeck of Rensselaer, IN, Ryan Hornbeck of Rensselaer, IN, Ashlee Hornbeck of Rensselaer, IN; twelve grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Greg Walden of Monticello, IN, Donya (Delmar) Jordan of Rensselaer, IN, David (Cheryl) Hornbeck of Rensselaer, IN.

Doug was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Wilma.
