Arthur Vaughn Smith was my brother-in-law. There is nothing that I can say that would be enough to say just what a great man he was. One thing I will always remember is him telling me that he was not afraid to die. He said that he did not want to leave his family but was not afraid to pass away. Arthur was many things in his life. He did just about everything that a man can do here on this earth. Working hard was just another day to him and he never complained about working. He was still working right up to the last few weeks of his life. He deeply cared about the people who worked for him and always made sure that they were happy.

His wife was always the one he loved the most. His children and grandchildren were the apple of his eye. He was so proud of all of them. I was always proud to be his brother-in-law. We always had so much fun together. I will always remember Arthur as one of the very best friends I have ever had. All the memories that he left for me will never be forgotten. Thanks Arthur. You left a mark here on this earth that can never be removed. You were one of a kind.
