Hattie Klein, an 88-year-old native and life-long Marshall County resident, died last Thursday morning.

Funeral services were conducted from Watts Memorial Chapel Saturday afternoon. Chris Webb officiated. He was assisted by Roy Vinson. Music was presented by Willis Church of Christ singers. Burial was in the Powell Cemetery.

Mrs. Klein was born to the late George W. and Minnie Bridgeman Aug. 22, 1902, at Lebanon, IT. She resided in the Lebanon and Powell vicinity her entire life.

She and her late husband, Elmer Klein, were married Dec.25,1918, at Lebanon. Mr. Klein died Dec. 12,1958.

Mrs. Klein was a member of the Powell Church of Christ many years. She had been in ill health about four years.

She is survived by five sons, George of Ardmore, and John, Don, James, and Billy Klein, all of Powell, and five daughters, Cora Webster of Virginia, Eunice Page of Lebanon, Margie Buckaloo of Powell, Marvell Jackson of Madill and Sue Harmon of Willis.

Also, two brothers, Walter of Ringling and George Bridgeman of Kingston; four sisters, Ora Arterberry, Nannie Mae Booth and Aldene Scribner, all of Madill, and Mildred Lee of Powell, 32 grandchildren, 50 great-grandchildren and 16 great -great-grandchildren.

Grandsons served as casket escorts. They included Chuck Lewis, Wendyl and DeWayne Klein, Keith Harmon, DeWayne Jackson, Steve Buckaloo and Ralph Page.

Honorary escorts were A.A. Jeffrey, Robert Henson, J.C. Nabors, Lowell and Willie Otis Bridgeman, Bob McGahey, Leon Lee and Bill Scribner. Watts Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
