Mrs. John Dye passes away in California. Funeral services held Monday, at Malvern and Macedonia.

Short funeral services were held at the Willis Dye home in Malvern for Mrs. John Dye, who passed away last Thursday at Pasadena, California.

Services were also held at Macedonia Methodist church Monday and burial was at Macedonia.

Rev. Ira B. Allen of Malvern had charge of the services and was assisted by Rev.Henry Teele of Macedonia . Pallbeareres were: Neill Thomas, Glenn Carley, Marion Carley, Alva Seaburg, Robert Alston adnd Bruce Braden. Music was furnished by Mrs. Billie Robinsen and Mrs. Darlene Storm, accompanied by Jessie Hartwell.

Alice M. Bigger, daughter of Davis and Parmelia Bigger, was born, Jan 20, 1866, near Decatur, Ill. and died May 29, 1941 at the age of 75 years, four months and nine days.

In the spring of 1866 she moved with her parents to Otoe County, Nebr. When she was nine years of age, they moved to Macedonia, Ia., where she attended school and grew to womanhood.

She as united in marriage to John Dye, Oct. 24, 1897. To this union, one son was born, Dewey, of San Gabriel, Calif, who survives her.

She and her husband lived in and near Macedonia until 1910, when they moved to Malvern, where they lived until her husband's death in 1934. Since then she has lived with her son in Omaha and California.

When a young girl she united with the Methodist Church in Macedonia, later transferring her membership to the Malvern Methodist Church, where she attended faithfully and was a loyal member.

Besides her son Dewey, she is survived by one Granddaughter, Virginia Dye of Glendale, Calif.; a sister, Anne E. Owens of Lincoln, Nebr.; and two brothers, Ed C. Bigger of Lincoln, Nebr. and Ira S. Bigger of Indianapolis, Ind. She is also survived by the following stepchildren: Willis Dye, Malvern, Daisy Bassett, Long Beach, Calif, Howard Dye, of Glendale, Calif., Mrs. Dan Rowan, Olathe, Colo., Mrs. Homer Clayton, Macedonia and Cleveland Dye of Sweetgrass, Montana.

Those attending the services from a distance were: Mr. & Mrs. Dewey Dye of San Gabriel, Calif, Mrs. Anna Owens, Ed Bigger, Marion Wise and Mr. & Mrs. Martin Wise and daughter of Lincoln, Nebr. ; Mr.and Mrs. Ira Bigger of Indianapolis, Ind.,Ralph Dye, Mrs. Irene Splittgerber, and Mrs. Marquerite Hanson of Pilger, Neb.

Mr. & Mrs. A.C. Walstrom, and Mr. & Mrs. John McKenzie of Omaha, Nebr., Mrs. Harvey Dye and Mrs. Belle Harbert of Council Bluff, IA.
