Alsup, of the Cottonwood Community, died Wednesday October 8, 1986 in the Alexandria Veterans Administration Medical Center in Pineville, LA.
He was an electrician and a native of Sterling City, TX. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Avis Alsup of Cottonwood Community; two sons, Vernie Midkiff and wife Carolyn and Roger Midkiff and wife Patty both from the Savage Forks Community; two daughters, Valerie Grigsby of Bakerville, CA and Carolyn Kennedy and husband Billy of Cottonwood Community; two brothers, Jack Alsup of Del Rio, TX and Carl Alsup of Seguin, TX; three sisters, Juanita Kline and Virginia Dowmen both of Kerryville, TX and Ruby McDaniel of Alamo, TX and nine grandchildren.
