CECIL CARTWRIGHT CALLED BY DEATH
Funeral services were being planned today for Cecil O. Cartwright, World War veteran, who last night (Tues., Sept 29, 1936) drank poison at his home, 1249 South Birch Street, Santa Ana, Calif. Mr. Cartwright had been suffering from an illness caused by inhaling gas during the war. Recently, the ailment became more aggravated.

Mr. Cartwright, who had lived in Orange County for the past 15 years, was a member of Santa Ana American Legion Post 131 and the Jack Fisher Chapter 23, Disabled War Veterans. He had been active in both organizations since his coming to Santa Ana.

The war veteran is survived by his widow, Mrs. Una (Paris) Cartwright. He also leaves his two daughters, Cecil Opal and Phyllis Jean Cartwright, both of Santa Ana, and a brother, Emmett Cartwright of Madison, Wis. Funeral services from the Brown and Wagner Mortuary are pending the arrival of relatives from Wisconsin.
