Earl R. Lineberry, 59, Pierce truck driver
SEATTLE -- Earl Reid Lineberry, 59, a Pierce truck driver, died Friday afternoon at Harborview Medical Center here of injuries he received when his home burned March 26.

Lineberry received second-degree burns over 50-percent of his body after the wood stove in his trailer exploded.

He was born Feb. 13, 1941, to Coy and Allura Coltrane Lineberry in Hillsville, Va.

He moved to Pierce in 1960 and worked for various logging companies in the area. At the time of the fire, he was driving for R.F. Coon Logging in Pierce.

He was married to Joyce Meyers and she preceded him in death.

An earlier marriage ended in divorce.

He enjoyed the outdoors and auto racing.

Survivors include his mother of Independence, Va.; and five brothers, Kelly B. Lineberry and Jim Lineberry, both of Pierce, Phil Lineberry of Damascus, Va., Lin Lineberry of Obeechobee, Fla., and Dallas Lineberry of Cape Coral, Fla.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Rex Lineberry.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Pine Hills Funeral Chapel in Orofino. The funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with burial to follow at the Pierce Cemetery. The Rev. Kelly J. Lineberry of Kamiah will officiate.

The family suggests memorials to the Pierce EMTs, Pierce 83546.
