On the 1950 federal census, Mr. Davidson is shown as working as a lieutenant for either the Poughkeepsie, New York Police Department or, possibly, the Dutchess County Sheriff's Department. It is possible that, sometime after the census was taken on April 20, 1950, he relocated to Washington, D.C. to join the White House Police Force along with one Leslie William Coffelt and was himself involved in the assassination attempt on President Harry S. Truman on November 1, 1950. Further research is being done regarding this matter. Refer to this virtual cemetery.
