Myron Alexander Boggs, age 81 of Lawrenceville, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2008. Funeral Services will be held 2 PM Friday, February 29, 2008 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home. Burial Gwinnett Memorial Park.

Mr. Boggs was born October 4, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan. When he was two years old, his family moved back to Gwinnett County. He was a charter member and deacon emeritus of Central Baptist Church in Lawrenceville where he taught Sunday School for 50 years. For eighteen years, he was on the board of New Church Foundation of Gwinnett Metro Baptist Association. He worked for Farris Hutchins T. V. Sales & Service before becoming co-owner of Butler & Boggs T. V. with Grady Butler in Lawrenceville. He retired from the Gwinnett County Tax Assessors Office in 1991.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Boggs & Clara Watkins Boggs Gunter, and his step-father Otis Gunter.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Caroline Vose Boggs; his brothers J. O. Boggs and Glenn Gunter; Children Linda (Sparks) Ramey, Joan (Gerald) Blaney, Tim (Vicki) Boggs and Becky McMillan; grandchildren, April (Eric) Lovelace, Mark Ramey, Curt (Allison) McMillan, Gerald Blaney, III, Clare McMillan, T. J. Boggs, Elizabeth Blaney and Hannah Boggs; Great Grandchildren Jude Lovelace, Mathew and Mackenzie McMillan.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Annie Armstrong Offering, Central Baptist Church, 250 Gwinnett Drive, Lawrenceville, Georgia 30045.
