Frances L. Hilton, 88, of Amarillo died Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008.
Graveside services were at 2 p.m. Friday in Llano Cemetery by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell St.

Mrs. Hilton was born Jan. 30, 1920, in Texline. She married R.E. "Ed" Hilton in 1941, and he preceded her in death in 1990. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary.

She also was preceded in death by a daughter, Eddie Jo Ashley, in 1984; and two sons, Tim Hilton in 1959 and Lee Hilton in 1996.

Survivors include five grandchildren, John Ashley and wife Cathy of Mountain Grove, Mo., David Ashley and wife Shauna, Jessica Perciful and Donnie Hutton and wife Christy, all of Amarillo, and Jo Lynn Smith and husband Rick of Burns Flat, Okla.; 16 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Texan Rehab and Nursing Facility, 4033 S.W. 51st Ave., Amarillo, TX 79109.
