Notes for James M Albritton.James served in the Seminole indian war. He first served as a private in Captain Walker's company of Georiga Volunteers enlisting August 16,1838. It was during this service that he was thrown from his horse and landed against a tree injuring his right foot and the right side of his head. Though handicapped he still saw further service with Captain Aaron Jernigan's Company mounted volunteers. while serving with Captain Jernigan he was in the battle at Unpassable Bay near the Suwannee river Columbia County in 1840. He also served with Captain Jones company and Captain Bird's company during the period from 1838 to 1840. He made several applications for an invalid pension claiming permanent disability resulting from injuries received in service.After his death on Nov. 13 1884 at Fort Green Fla. his wife applied Don't Know If Granted.
