There were six children, three of whom are still living in Salt Lake. They are Miss Frances E. O'Meara and two sons, M. J. and W. P. O'Meara. The others died in infancy, except one son, who passed away in this city about five years ago.
About a year after his marriage, Mr. O'Meara went to Macomb, Ill., where he resided about thirty years. Then in 1892, he came to Salt Lake, where he lived until about the middle of last January, when he, together with his wife and daughter, Frances, and son, M. J. O'Meara, went to Los Angeles in the hope of bettering the father's health.
About two weeks ago he was taken ill and removed from the Angeles hotel, where he had been staying, to the Sisters' hospital in Los Angeles, where he died at 11 o'clock last Tuesday from congestion of the kidneys.
W. P. O'Meara, who at the time of his father's death was in New York, was at once communicated with. He left Philadelphia last Wednesday, arrving here yesterday afternoon.
The funeral will be held tomorrow at 9 o'clock from St. Mary's Cathedral. The interment will take place in Calvary Cemetery.
