Born August 28, 1931 in York, PA, he was the son of the late Walter F. and Leah M. (Eppley) Coble. He was preceded in death by his brother, Cletus Coble and his sister, Wanda (Coble) Fisher. He was also preceded in death by first wife, Constance (Oller) Coble in 1966.
Neil was a U. S. Army veteran, stationed in Frankfurt, Germany during the Korean War.
He was a 1949 graduate of John Harris High School in Harrisburg, PA and a 1953 graduate of Temple University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Neil retired as a pharmacist and co-owner of EPCO Pharmacies. He was past president of the York County Pharmaceutical Association, a member of the American Pharmaceutical Association, past president of North York Lions Club, and a former member of Church of the Open Door, West York Campus and First Baptist Church of York.
In addition to his wife, Neil was also survived by a son, Thomas N. Coble of York, PA; two daughters, Jane C. Coble of York, PA and Monica C. Knepper and her husband Andrew of York, PA; a grandson, Jacob A. Knepper and his wife Teghan of Beaver Falls, PA and a granddaughter, Leah E. Knepper of Bethlehem, PA.
Following cremation, at Neil's request, there will be no services.
