Hermon Eugene "Chuck" Hobbs was born on June 7, 1936 in Delano, California to Jesse James and Lilian Pearl Hobbs, the youngest of 9 children. He went to be with the Lord on April 22, 2023 at the age of 86.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife (Minnetta), all 8 siblings, his oldest daughter (Pam Mills), and son (Chucky Hobbs).

Chuck served in the Army being honorably discharged after a short stint after an auto accident and the fact that he had 4 children at home. He worked for Peacock Dairy, had his own gardening business, and retired as a Groundskeeper/Gardener for Calvary Bible Church in 2017. He was mentor for Awana at Calvary for several years.

He is survived by his significant other/caregiver Sandra Eakle and her family, closest step- daughter Tammi Cherry (Greg) and their family, the triplets (Jerry, Janiece, and Janette, the first triplets born at Memorial Hospital), the triplets' mother (Delma Pilkington) and several other step-children and their families.

He was a dearly loved mate, father, husband, step-father, grandfather, great-grandfather and will be greatly missed by them. He never knew a stranger and he was cherished by many friends.
