A lifetime resident of Coldwater, KS, Erma attended Avilla Country School, graduated from Coldwater High School in 1951, and attended Wichita Business College. She was a member of Coldwater First Christian Church and Red Hat Society. During her life, Erma worked as a secretary for many businesses including: Texas Petroleum Company at Texas A&M; Hod Rich Attorney's Office; Coldwater Elementary School and Coldwater High School; and Comanche County Register of Deeds.
On December 26, 1952, she married Jack D. Allen at Coldwater, KS. He preceded her in death on April 18, 2018.
In addition to her husband, Erma was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson: Nathan Sherman; a son-in-law: Mike "Willie" Williamson; and her father and mother-in-law: Renous and Ruth Allen.
She is survived by three daughters: Marcy Williamson, Chris Hrencher (Kelly) and Michilyn Coen (Randy); one son: Jay Allen (K.C.); four grandchildren: Josh Williamson (Sarah) of Lawrence, KS, Bret Williamson (Michelle); four great-grandchildren; and numerous brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral service is at 10:30 a.m., Friday, April 28, 2023 at First Christian Church in Coldwater, KS with Jeff Blundell presiding.
Burial will follow the funeral service at Crown Hill Cemetery in Coldwater, KS.
