Oscar was the son of Martin Olaus Knai and Kristine Bertha (Peterson) Knai. He came to this country with several of his siblings and first settled in Ill. where he married Dorothy McKee and had a daughter Leona. They divorced and Oscar moved to IN where he married Sarah (Vine) Humes. She came to the marriage with one son William Wallace. Sarah and Oscar had 5 children before they divorced before 1950.
Oscar's siblings were Marie, Petrine, Lars, Peter Olaussen, Thora, Harold Kristian and Ole.
At some point Oscar moved to CA where he passed away.
