WALLS – Joanne Marie (Parks), 64, West Taylor Township, died Feb. 6, 2011, at Cambria Care Center, after fighting a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's disease. Born Sept. 11, 1946, in Johnstown, daughter of John Henry and Alice (Malee) Parks. Preceded in death by parents and sister, Patricia Parks-Thomas. Survived by loving husband and lifelong companion of 46 years, Freddie George Walls; son, John F. Walls, married to the former Wanda Ohler; and daughter, Kimberly Dawn Walls, and fiance, Theodore Richardson Jr., all of Johnstown; and beautiful granddaughter, Mary Marie Walls. Sister of John Parks, married to the former Floetta Gray; Kenneth Parks, married to the former MaryAnn Yurasik; Louise Dadura, married to Dan Dadura; and Peggy Nugent, all of Johnstown. Also survived by brother-in-law, Ralph Leroy Walls, married to the former Edna Singer, Jupiter, Fla.; sister-in-law, Charlotte Homan, widow of Michael Homan; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was employed at the Corner Drug Store for most of her adult life. She loved to travel on bus trips with their best friends, Ed and Nancy Cernic. Family and friends were the most important thing in her life and she was loved by all. Friends received from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Francis G. Ozog Funeral Home Inc., Broad Street, where funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Ruth Moore. Private interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Albright United Methodist Church, 608 Cooper Ave., Johnstown, in memory of Joanne Walls.
