Mrs. Robert Lyons died at her home east of Greenwood Tuesday morning. The funeral took place from the Christian church at Greenwood on Wednesday morning.

Mary Jane (Polly) Pierce was born on October 29, 1833, in Kentucky, her father, David, was 19 and her mother, Elizabeth, was 21. She married Robert R. Lyons on February 9, 1870, in Johnson, Indiana. They had five children during their marriage. She died on April 13, 1891, in Johnson, Indiana, at the age of 57.
