George was active in Alanson government being an Alanson/ Alanson-Littlefield Village Trustee starting in 1976, not always winning the seat in consecutive elections. He was Alanson's Sewer Inspector for 16 years, and Chairman of the Littlefield Township Board of Review for 9 years.
He was a league Bowler and avid Hunter. He was a Business Owner. Had two wives, Ruth and then Norma.
