John Pike Senior - Will dated 24 May 1654. Proved 3 Oct 1654Born by about 1587 (based on date of marriage). Laborer from Landford, Wiltshire, who came to Massachusetts Bay in 1635 on the "James." (On or about 5 Apr 1635, "John Pike" was one of the two men listed together as "of Langford, laberers," in the Passenger list of the James, about to set sail from Southampton for New England. First settled in Ipswich; moved to Newbury in 1635, & Salisbury by 1654. Died 26 May 1654.
Married in Whiteparish, Wiltshire, 17 Jan 1612/3, Dorothy Day, daughter of Thomas & Joan (Morris) Day. She probably died between 20 Jun 1631 (date of father's will) & 28 Mar 1632 (date of mother's will).
