William Henry Harrison Fleener - Obituary - Feb. 6, 1892
Booneville Enquirer
William Henry Harrison Fleener, died at his family residence one mile south east of Lynnville, on the 21 day of January, 1892 in his 79 year. The deceased from the best information we can get, was born in Kentucky but at an early age he was brought by his parents to Indiana settling on the farm where he died and which remained his home for over seventy years, he was married twice, his last wife who survives him being a Mrs. Knight. He reared a family of several sons and daughters all of whom were honorable and respected ornaments of society. Mr. Fleener was one of our most worthy citizens honored and respected by all who knew him a christian indeed and in truth and a worthy member of the Regular Baptist church of this place. He is gone and he will be remembered with love by old and young as a true man who had a desire that all mankind might do well. In politics he was a true firm and unrelenting Democrat but liberal in his views extending charity to all, and while on this subject, we learn from Axley Rice (through his son Martin W. Rice,) that he Mr. Rice, came into Hart township sixty-five years ago and has during this long period been a close and intimate neighbor of the deceased, and that there are now only two persons besides himself living in Hart township that were here sixty five years ago, and those two are James Henman and the widow of Joseph Hunsaker, whose maiden name was Boyd. Well may we truly explain, "Our fathers where are they," soon very soon we will all be gathered to our fathers. "Be ye also ready."Son of Isaac & Mary (Crawford)Fleener
