Anthony John Lenzo

Longs, SC - Anthony John Lenzo, 68, of Longs, SC passed away on February 3 after a struggle with multiple health issues. He is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 46 years Denise (Colwell) Lenzo; two sons, David (Noy) and Michael (Ashley); two grandchildren, Yvonne, and Susannah; his mother, Jean (Mirra) Lenzo; his brothers, Jerry (Diana) Lenzo, John Lenzo; his sister, Gloria (Joe) Greco; Denise's sister Mary Lee and (Steve) Truesdail; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Anthony was predeceased by his father, Sebastian, and his sister Mary Celia.

Anthony was born on April 1, 1952 to Sebastian and Jean Lenzo in Johnson City, NY. After graduating from Union-Endicott High School in 1970, he attended Broome Community College, and went on to earn his Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science at Binghamton University. After graduation, he worked for many years at IBM, then retired from the NYS Department of Labor after 20 years.

Anthony was a passionate outdoorsman, and loved hunting, boating, SCUBA diving, and fishing. He spent over 20 years teaching hunter safety to his fellow hunters, and was a lifetime member of the NRA. Anthony was Past Commander of the Susquenango Power Squadron, and an active member of the North Strand Power Squadron. He loved spending time with his boating friends and family. Anthony was also a long-time member of the Elks and Sons of Italy.

In 2018 Anthony received a lung transplant at Temple University Lung Center. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations are sent in his name to the Gift of Life house in Philadelphia, PA.

There will be a memorial service for Anthony Lenzo on July 24, 2021 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, Main Street, Endicott, NY. Calling hour noon- 1 PM.

A memorial mass in his honor will be held at 1 PM.
