Lucille M. Barden, 86, of Anderson, died March 12, 2008, at Community Hospital after an extended illness.

She was born April 10, 1921, in Chinook, Mont., and had been an Anderson resident since 1970, with 25 years in LaPorte.

She was a homemaker and a sweet, kind, gentle, loving, wife, mother and grandmother. She attended Madison Park Church of God, recently attending East Side Church of God.

Survivors include her husband of 60 years, William J. Barden of Anderson, whom she married June 22, 1947 in LaPorte; son, Michael A. Barden; two daughters, Mary A. (Timothy) Thomas and Melinda K. (Ernest) Biven, all of Anderson; brother, Garland (Barbara) Wilson of Rochester; four grandchildren, Levi (Carmen) Voss, Eric (Brittany) Hanna, Jacob D. Biven, Megan L. Biven; two step-grandchildren, Derek (Terry) Thomas, Hollie (Brian) Nelson; three great-grandchildren, Audrey Voss, Emma Voss and Kyla Hanna; two step-great-grandchildren, Adler Nelson and Becker Nelson, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. and Anna (Wallace) Wilson; four brothers and a sister.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Rev. Jim Lyon officiating. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, Madison Park Church of God or East Side Church of God.
