• COURTNEY -- Services for Robert L. "Bob" Davis Sr., 72, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2002, at the Courtney United Methodist Church with the Rev. Scott Rogers officiating. Interment will be at Petersburg Cemetery.
Mr. Davis was born Aug. 11, 1929, in Cabot, Ark., to Robert Henry and Dorthiel Pruitt Davis. He died Jan. 10, 2002, in Ardmore.
A veteran of the Korean War, he worked as sales manager at Little Rock Dodge, Richland Ford and Walt Bennett Ford. He was a member of Courtney United Methodist Church. He and Mary E. Davis were married in September 1988, in Gainvesville, Texas. He was preceded in death by his wife, in March 2001; his parents; a brother, Thomas Edward Davis in 1938; and a grandson, Sean Wesley Davis in 1997.
Survivors include a daughter, Susan Rhoades and her husband, Wayne, of Gravelly, Ark.; four sons and their wives, Robert Lee Davis Jr. and wife, Debbie, and Michael Wayne Davis and wife, Peggy, all of Benton, Ark., Woody Dale Davis and wife, Marla, of Lawrence, Kan., and David Allen Davis, also Benton; two stepchildren, David Randell Hudelson, Star City, Ark., and Tootie Dewbre and her husband, Johnny, of Courtney; two brothers, Paul Davis and wife, Liz, of San Antonio, Texas, and Bill Davis and wife, Juanita, of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Patsy Willinger and husband, Gus, Southgate, Mich.; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Grandsons will serve as bearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight at Spivey's Reser Funeral Home.
