Clovis Baldridge was an Electrician's Mate Third Class aboard the USS Indianapolis. He survived the horrific sinking of the ship on July 30th 1945 when a japanese torpedo sank it off the coast of the Phillipines. Clovis was one of only 317 survivors of the 1100+ men that were aboard at the time. Approximately 900 men actually survived but were in the shark infested waters for nearly 5 days when they were rescued. He is one of a special few.....God Bless him for his service
