He was born March 28, 1946, in Pineville, Kentucky, to the late Abraham Wilder and Myrtle Miracle Wilder. He loved gardening, drawing, and making his walking sticks. Joe had one of the biggest hearts of anyone.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, J.S. Wilder, and two sisters, Eva Griffith and Betty Wilson, and several nieces and nephews.
He is survived by two sisters Wilma (Willard) Hensley, and Kathleen Sidelinker, both of MI., ; three brothers, Ham (June) Wilder, TN., , Ray (Mickey) Wilder, and Randall (Patty) Wilder, both of Clarkston, MI.; and several nieces and nephews.
