Jacqueline "Jackie" Alvarez, 84, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023 at Community Douglas Center. She was born in Thomasville, Georgia on February 27, 1939 and daughter of the late Lawton Johnson and Mary Eva Haire Johnson. She moved to Jacksonville at an early age and graduated in 1957 from Andrew Jackson High School. She met the love of her life, Jim Alvarez and they wed on March 19, 1958. Jackie retired from Dr. Robert Levin's office with over 30 years of service and was a member of Sovereign Grace Family Church of Jacksonville.
Preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Janice McAllister. elebration of life service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, April 21, 2023 at Sovereign Grace Community Church of Jacksonville, 13733 N. Main Street, with Rev. Keith Foskey, officiating.
Her family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the church. Additional services and burial will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday at Deep Creek Advent Christian Church Cemetery (Scott Cemetery), Lake City, FL.
